Who Are We?

The Hive Mortgage Solutions. The FamWe started “The Hive Mortgage Solutions” in 2017.  Karen is a local school teacher and Ken worked for a local community bank for 13 years.  Together they have 5 children who are each unique and wonderful in their own spirited way.

For fun we enjoy spending time in the garden or snow showing in the woods.  Of course, Bear is always hot on our trail.  We also enjoy traveling.  Spending time on the Jersey Shore or watching the sunset from Indian Shores Florida.

jaKen is very active in the Brewer Community.  He has coached for many teams and served on the boards of several non-profits.  He is the Treasurer for the Brewer High School Boosters Club.  This is his 8th year.  He also volunteers for Junior Achievement and for the EZ Fix program with the Eastern Area Agency on Aging.

Ken is also a beekeeper, enjoys woodworking and spending time in the garage.  He has built a couple cedar strip canoes and started making lip balm from the left over wax from his hive.

Lastly, Ken is passionate about helping people with advice and preparing them to meet their goals. See his resume below.
