WOW. So today is 5 months since I said goodbye to the bank. It has been a wild ride and more successful than I could have ever imagined at this point. This issue of Magazine came out in August and has been in the pile with several other months and I have not had time to read them.
I read a quote the other day that really touched me.
“A man’s reach should exceed his grasp”
As we start getting into the holidays, its important to remember how fortunate we are in our lives and do something to make someones life better.
I have always been an active member of the community. I have coached, served on boards, and volunteered in other capacities. I have been on the Brewer High School Boosters Board for 10 years, 8 years as treasurer. I have been a Junior Achievement coach at the Brewer Community School. I belong to the Eastern Area Agency on Aging EZ Fix program and have helped local elderly people with small projects around the house. We are scheduled to cook dinner for the guests at the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor. The list could go on and on.
I guess my point is this. We can all still learn from Dr. Suess.
